Food as Sweet Vitality
Steam or roast fresh vegetables and top with my Pine Nut Vinaigrette!
Toss the veggies in some fresh arugula. This peppery plant has been known as a natural aphrodisiac for centuries!
Pine nuts are high in zinc, which has been linked to a healthy sex drive.
Artichokes can be quite an intimate food to share. Steam a whole artichoke and enjoy the leaves with Mustard N’ Thyme Aioli. Find many other aioli recipes in my book.
To steam an artichoke
Snap off tough outer leaves of the artichoke. Cut off top third of artichoke. Cut off any spiky brown pieces. Cut stem a bit so artichoke stands upright. Rub cut surfaces with lemon to prevent discoloration.
Place a steamer basket in a large pot; add enough water so it reaches just below the basket. Place artichokes in steamer basket, stem-side up. Cover pot, and steam until heart is tender when pierced with a tip of a paring knife, and inner leaves pull out easily, 20 to 30 minutes. Warm or room temperature is perfect for serving!
Pumpkin seeds & Decadent Power Truffles!
These amazing seeds have been shown to boost testosterone! Their high level of zinc, like pine nuts help can help with harmony as well!
I took my regular recipe from my cookbook for Decadent Power Truffles with Ginger and Sea Salt. I added crushed toasted pumpkin seeds and lots of grated fresh turmeric root.
