Are you familiar with bulletproof drinks?

I love to start my day with a bulletproof boost from maté, or when it’s needed, coffee.

A few days out of the week I’ve been intermittent fasting, and bulletproof drinks assist with that! I experience a sustained energy and mental clarity all the way through the morning until lunch. I truly enjoy my delicious lunches those days that I fast in the mornings!

If you’re not already familiar with the benefits of a bulletproof drink, the healthy fats delivers a different kind of absorption that brings on higher-quality energy, increased brain power, as well improved metabolism and mood.

Be sure to include the collagen powder for some extra nourishment. Experiment with grass-fed butter in place of ghee if dairy agrees with you.

Bulletproof Maté Or Coffee

Total time: 10 minutes

Yield: 14 ounces

Equipment needed: Blender

Ingredients

  • 12oz hot brewed yerba maté tea

  • 2 drops liquid stevia (optional)

  • 1 scoop collagen powder (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon ghee

  • 1-2 teaspoons MCT oil

 

Preparation

  1. Place in a blender: Brewed maté, liquid stevia, and collagen powder. Start at the lowest setting and slowly raise to medium.

  2. As machine is running, slowly add ghee, and follow by drizzling in MCT oil.

  3. Pour hot drink into a pint-sized glass and enjoy!
